Sales of the Avantime was bad: less then 15 per day. Renault and Matra decided to stop the production of the car.

Space frame concept with SMC body panels

Front fenders, rear fenders, roof, roof extensions, upper quarter panel, side rails, doors (outer), hatchback (3 parts) are class A SMC.

Sunroof frame and under the bonnet parts are non class A SMC.
