July 2006. Lonza Compounds GmbH & Co. KG, Kieselstr., 56357 Miehlen, Germany, announces the changes of name as per 1 August 2006. The new name underlines the strong ties with the shareholding company: POLYNT S.p.A., formerly known as Lonza S.p.A. The new name will not influence any customer or suppliers relations.

Break through with “Bio-BMC“.

October 2005. Menzolit-Fibron announces: Natural and renewable materials used to make composite materials.
Composite materials are no longer limited to resins derived from Petro Chemicals, minerals and glass fibres. Researchers at Menzolit’s research laboratory at Vineuil, France, had presented at this year’s JEC conference a new generation of BMC material nearly entirely made of renewable and natural growing materials.

Carbon Fibre (CF) Reinforced SMC used in Series Production

December 2004. Menzolit’s “AdvancedSMC” is being used for the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren. CF composites are no longer limited to aerospace and racing cars. McLaren-Mercedes uses CF-SMC for the semi-structural scuttle panel. Menzolit’s AdvancedSMC can be moulded similar to standard SMC.
